On November 15, 1997, friends and visitors gather to help Leonard attempt to fly his balloon one last time. It had been stored in it’s trailer for a little over 10 years. It had already shown signs of deterioration than and after storage it needed a bunch of repairs. He started the day using duct tape to hold together a bunch of tears in the seams. His idea this time was to stretch it up the ledge and have people help by lifting the material to allow the air to fill the area with less resistance.
