Educational Experiences

The Noah's Ark, Ark Experience

Noah's Ark at Salvation Mountain.

Leonard created an interactive exhibit he called “Noah’s Ark”. It is the only object he did not paint or decorate like the rest of his work.

He left it as a blank canvas and wanted the children to paint it with their own version of the Noah’s Ark story. During his twenty-six years at the site he never offered this fun idea so it never happened. We are now prepared to offer this opportunity to groups during a day visit.

Program Details

Participants will include up to fifteen children each day, working in cooperation as a group.

We encourage church groups and civil organizations to make this activity into a one day field trip to Salvation Mountain. We can also accommodate family activities and higher education groups.

All with the intention to use art, education and Leonard’s life story to advance the God’s unconditional love, teaching of God’s word and the simplicity of salvation expressed here at Salvation Mountain.

The program will be catered to your group but is expected to last approximately 4-6  hours. We ask for a minimum donation of $15 per person to cover the cost of expenses  for the activity and a small amount goes to the preservation of Leonard’s work!
